Still not sure about the lighting on some. Still trying to get the eyes to focus better on a few. Tred some black and whites ad sepia, as well as selective coloring.
Using 2 umbrellas up close and 2 lights for the background. Did these as a Christmas gift for some really good friends of mine. Used my 35mm f/2 lens.

I really like your black and white photos. The colored ones, on the other hand, have something weird going on with the coloring. The second picture I would say is too yellow and the others have a magenta (maybe bluish also) tone to them...they just aren't flattering of the subjects. Play around with the white balance and other pp to make the photos more flattering. Hope that helps a little!

They look pretty good to me. The first B&W is a bit off - looks grainy with too much vignette. (But I may just be put off by the selective color).

The rest look pretty good. You've got pretty good light, good eye contact, a rambunctious dog, good catch lights and smiles. The color looks good on my monitor and the sepia is fine. Nice set of images - just be careful of the shadows cast by one subject on the other.
