Where are you going in Costa Rica?

Where are you staying?

How are you getting there?

In general take your 24-105 and you will be set.

Rain and more rain. Take protection for your equipment.

Hi...your title totally caught my eye. I'm leaving for CR on the 3rd and really psyched!! Just switched to 7D... wanted better ISO for being in rain forests... and still haven't decided on lenses! I DO know I'm bringing my 100 macro for all the little critters and flowers I want to capture... along with a travel tripod. I'm also taking my 70-200 F4 IS...and a waterproof point and shoot for kayaking. I'm still undecided about taking either my Sigma 30 1.4, Canon 17-55 or Canon 10-22. Will be using a Think Tank Shape Shifter to carry gear on board and once in CR using their belt system. Going to Arenal, Manuel Antonio and Osa Peninsula. I'm still open to suggestions...posted a bit ago what to bring... since then got the 7D. Will be there for 2 weeks.
See you in Costa Rica!

So jealous! I can't wait to return now that I'm shooting a 7D and have the 100-400L. I only spent 2 weeks in Costa Rica, but Tortuguero was my favorite location - only reachable by boat or plane. The bird photography opportunities in that area will blow your mind!

I am going to Costa Rica in mid Feb for 10 days on a hosted motorcoach.
Took this motorcoach company to Canadian Rockies a few years ago and it was good.
Bag will have 5D and 20D w 17-40 mm, 24-105 mm, and 70 - 200 mm.
See the need for plastic bags, tripod, meter, port flash, etc.

Hi there

Very happy to see some fellow photographers coming to my home country. I live in Cartago, but this country is so tiny I can pretty much go anywhere in a few hours. If you are interested or have questions about the country, please drop me a private message... I'll be happy to help if I can.

A couple of pictures I have taken are here:

Best Regards!
