CPS does not advertise that they have CPS pricing or else everyone will go for it when membership was free - that was a long time ago. All registered canon retailers should have a CPS pricing list, a cost pricing, and a MSRP pricing. I'm going to let you know that the CPS pricing is very attractive. It'll force you to add more and more lenses to your WANT list. Thanks, although I'm through buying, for now. Famous last words Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

I've had terrible service from them. They don't fix anything and just return it all as "within spec". I hate those two words. It took them over 5 months for them to address my 1D issues, and they wouldn't even give me a loaner body. The finally gave in after 4 months of pleading with them. How are you supposed to pay bills when CPS holds your gear for 5 months and doesn't want to give you a loaner? Then they announced they closed down two of the three service centres. (Great, LESS people working on fixing stuff) Then they announced you had to pay yearly. There is NO WAY I am paying for that bullcrap non-service. The ONLY reason I would buy a membership is if I am going to make some big gear purchases where the CPS discount would be greater than the membership fee. For example, my 1Ds3 was $500 cheaper through CPS discount. But I don't know what their CPS price discounts are like nowadays. It wouldn't surprise me if they ruined that system too. /rant It's very unfortunate to hear you got some bad experience with your 1d. 7D2, 5Diii, 5Div, 70-300L, 24-105L, 70-200Lii, 100-400Lii, 135L, 430EXii, 580EXii, Σ50, Σ60-600 Σ150 Macro, ΣEM-140, LensBaby 3G, White lightnings, Bowens. Maxdave Goldmember More info | Many years ago I learned you could visit a Customs and Excise office and get the equipment you wanted to take across the border registered. It got listed on a small card, with serials, and you could show it at the border. In the case of equipment arriving by mail, you might have to pay, but you could visdt the C & E Office and appeal, showing the card. It worked fine for me. I have no idea whether this program is still being offered. I would also think if you have a Canadian bill of sale for the item, or a C & E receipt for the initial imported purchase that would also be accepted. 5D3,1D4,S90,6S&Moment Lenses,Hero4Silver,GPS-E2,2x580EX,430EX,90EX,EF16-35L f/4 IS,Samy SYTS24-C 24TS,EF24-105L IS,EF50 f/1.4,EF70-200 f/4L IS,EF300 f/4L IS,EF100-400L I IS,Kenko DGX 1.4X,Canon 2X TC Mk II, RRS&Pro-Media L-Brackets,Manfrotto MHXPRO-3WG & Roller 50,Sirui 306&K-20,Giottos MT-7371&MH-3300,Velbon ElCarmagne 530,CamRanger,Phottix&Canon Remotes,Lowepro Backpack,ThinkTank Retro 20&Modular System,OpTech straps,Lexar/San Disk Cards

I know there are forms to be filled out when shipping out, so when the item resturns you present the paperwork. A lot of hassle, since stuff can get stuck in Customs for weeks, then you have to make time to go down and clear it through. Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.
