They have done stuff like this for years. You have a better chance of being hit by lightning!!

Hey, it's worth a shot! In previous years though I didn't get the 'special' deal I did wind up with smaller rebate/statement credit offers that were pretty good. Worth a shot, on this one 200 people will get it.

I don't disagree with you. You are just more of an optimist than I am!

They only have 200 available for 48.9 million American Express cardholders.

If they had 10 million available, it would still be hard to win one of these.

Replacing my Canon 7D, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 17-55mm, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 150-500mm with a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. I still have the 17-55 and the 30 available for sale.

Okay, here's the good news. You're 50 times more likely to win this than to get struck by lightning, and about 2,000 times more likely to win this than to win a lottery jackpot.

I still say it's worth a shot. About three minutes to go. I think the Amazon deal will be easier to get than the laptops and LCD TVs they're going to be doing later. ;)

Actually the oddsof being struck by lightning are one in 700,000 EVERY YEAR. Assuming you live to be 85 you have a 31 times greater chance of being struck by lighting than receiving one of the 200 rewards. Either way- it is not good!
