I've seen about 2-3 sellers here on POTN trying to sell there used 24-70mm (out of warranty) for almost the same price as you can buy a new one.

if anyone is interested i have a brand new on in box for $1200 shipped.

The current price at Amazon ($1289) is okay, not great.

It was $1250, $1242, $1245 earlier this week. And $1221 just a couple of weeks ago.
