Usually the ND filter is on the lens because you want to cut down on the amount of ambient and flash coming in. Ordinarily you wouldnt want ND filters on a strobe in the daytime as you want to be able to overpower the ambient with strobe power. You could use those to reduce the strobe power when you dont have to worry about the ambient, but if thats the case you can usually just power down and use a modifier.

Ty that makes a lot of sense (smacks head) :)

Nismo, I don't know if it's just me but the skin texture/tones on the faces look kind of off.

Thanks Connor, I was having trouble mainly with her cheek bones but could you explain a little more? I've got some people saying it looks spot on and others saying it's off so the more detail, the better. Thanks! Here's another of her I just finished. Same setup but the cheek bones are far less pronounced due to the angle of the light here. Let me know if the tone's are consistent on this as well. thanks!

The referee photo, the skin looks blotchy and uneven compared to the lighting/color on the rest of the body? I'm not sure how to say it.

I think I'm having the same problem as last night. Too much editing and my eyes need some time away to refocus and I'll give it another go after work tomorrow. Thanks again!
