Here is a funny one for everyone....I always look in here and rarely post because I thought my mono lights were just Excalibur 3200 and Ultra Zap White lighting 800. Then today I was posting about triggers and thought I had better tell everyone what lights I have in order to facilitate better responses to my question. So I went into my studio to get the names of the mono lights correct and what did I find wrote on the side of my light AlienBee LOL!! So I do belong here to LOL!! Even if it is an older model.

Welcome, lets see some pix.

Cheers,
Tony

I took this shot to test out a variable ND filter I recently received. I was decently satisfied with the results, but I need to do a little more testing to make sure. The cool thing about this particular image is that it was shot at f/2.8, 1/250 sec--while underexposing a very bright ambient.

1 White Lightning X2400, 1/2 power, camera left (slightly behind subject), diffused by a 22" Paul C Buff HOBD (High-Output Beauty Dish) with center reflector in place. 1 White Lightning Ultrazap 1600, camera left (slightly in front of subject), full power, shot through a white umbrella. Sunlight is providing just a hint of rim on the subject's back. Strobes triggered via Cybersyncs; powered via Vagabond II. A Genus 77mm Neutral Density Fader Filter was used.

Could be, I normally bring a flash light to focus on the subject, I was on AI servo when I shot it and was at ISO 640. Normally the 135L is spot on but I didn't bring my light so I couldn't lock in the focus.
