My Einstein fell over on yesterdays shoot (smacked straight into big rocks). Still works fine, but the side plastic bit has cracked and my BD is stuck!! Cant get it out :(

Excuse to buy a Mola dish now :)

I wonder if Paul C buff just sell the plastic covers for the Einstein.

Call them, they are usually very great about everything.

I've seen a few shots from this set now, and I don't see anyone commenting on them - and I cannot understand why. This is great material, and the lighting is very fitting for the mood. I'm not into the whole 'implied nude family' family thing, and I can't help but feel like their emotions might feel a little too tense for the occasion.

Overall, I like them quite a bit. The lighting especially.

Understood, and thanks for the comments...much appreciated :)

...But I have to give the client what they asked for as well...they wanted something Family, and something sexy yet classy....also didn't like the Normal Maternity "stuff". So I prepared for about a week to see what I could do, and I came up with a 20 photo set that tells quite a nice story, and they loved it.

So I do get what you're saying 100%, but at the end of the day...it's the client that has to be pleased...not me.

I'm sure its a modesty consideration; but this would be so much more powerful without the panties breaking the line of her hip.

Maybe you can clone it out.

yup...was thinking the same thing as I started to edit...but I didn't want it to look retarded, and I don't use photoshop so it wouldn't have come out as perfect as I would have liked.

My friend and fellow photographer Jennifer Garrett, was kind enough to take business headshot photos for me and my website. I felt it was only appropriate if I took photos of her too. The wind quickly became our enemy....but it brought some charm to the photos too IMO

Is the AB400 powerful enough to underexpose the sky by let's say 2 stops and still put out enough light to properly light a subject.

Not during the middle of the day. An ab1600 with a softbox will barely do a full stop, bare it will darken it maybe a stop. Ideally you would want at least 1200 ws.

Couple of B shots...

Used 3 AB1600's, one with a 22" beauty dish w/sock and two 32"x40" softboxes for all the shots you see.

holah guys i need some help

i am looking to purchase another light - i have an einstein right now and i might be moving into a studio hopefully soon and i want to do more beauty work

will another einstein really be worth it to act as fill or to blow out the bg or can i get away with a b400 ar a WL or something a little less cheaper

the einstein is great but i dont know if i can justify getting a second one just for a fill light

thanks again!

If you can afford it, Id get another einstein or two AB 1600s and 2 CSRB+ recievers (which will be really close in price to another einstein)
