oh... ok ok good. i mean, not good for you, but good for me because I was worried I was extremely perverted staring at the crotch area for a good hour. i mean... at first glance.

... i definitely don't stare at girl's privates for that long.... majority of the time... okay I tend to do it a lot.

Well at that angle all of the lines lead to that spot (i.e. her legs). I mean that is a basic concept of photography (leading lines) so I think it is completely normally as that is where your eye normally is pulled.

As far as appropriate or not goes - I don't see the issue in this case as it is black spandex so you can't make out an detail or anything.

Will it be worth to buy an alien bee off eBay or just buy it from paulcbuff? I was thinking more of the warranty just didn't know if it was worth the gamble.

Buff has great service. I've purchased two used bees and have had no issies with them. But usually the savings on a used Bee on ebay isnt much less than new cost so factor that in. .

Your right I been watching on eBay for the last week most go for like $30 dollar cheaper than Buff the auction price might be less than buff but the shipping is where it hurts.. Don't know if its better to just get a new one.

I've been looking to get another B800 and from what I've seen the modest savings on e-bay just aren't worth it to me.

Rare to find anything with his name on eBay for sure. Though I almost bought a used Einstein from a guy on Craigslist but didn't at the last minute. Love my AB800...do want another!

I've bought all of my Alien Bees off Craigslist. I gave $150 each for my 4 B800's and $100 each for my B400's. There are good deals out there.

These are a couple pictures I took from the first time ever doing a true studio style portrait shoot. I used AB800s on either side of the subject. Like I said, this was my first ever attempt with these, so please give positive C&C! Thank you!

I guess there's inherently nothing wrong with these. The light is just flat and dull. And the background in number 2 is pretty wrinkled. What modifiers did you use?

CC? I have an old monitor calibrator (SpyderExpress2) so not sure if it's accurate on your screen.

AB800 45° right of me with 48" octabox. I used bare Yongnuo YN560II from the opposite (no CTO gel).

This was outside after sunset.

Just picked up a some Yongnuo 622c's I haven't tried any HSS with them on my B800s anyone give them a try yet. I read somewhere that the b800 doesn't have a long enough flash duration to accommodate anything over 1/1000th.
