If you are interested in using TTL with your existing Alien Bees, PocketWizard FlexTT5 transceivers can connect to the remote control ports using an AC9 adapter. PocketWizard calls their TTL feature "power tracking" since it is not true TTL, but it works quite well in most circumstances. This setup would also allow you to use Hypersync with your existing units:
