Sock it. I hate AB beauty dish, horrible. Your best bet is to just buy something else.

is it because of build or light output quality just isn't there?

Was testing some lighting equipment today.
IT WAS COLD, about 30F but model braved it.

This one had sun from behind, Einstein in 36" Octa about 8 feet camera left and 45/45 to model. ABR800 on camera about 15-20ft away. My recollection is that the Einstein was at about 160Ws and the ABR was at about the same. (ABR was just the reflector and diffusion front. Octabox had inner and outer diffusion panels and a disk in front of the flash tube. (Octabox is Pro Studio Solutions foldable)

Skin smoothing and a grunge routine.

My co-worker is selling me his Vagabond II for $270. Waiting to see what I get moneywise for my birthday this week before I head up to his house and pick it up.

I know exactly where you shot this! Great set but in the first one is that a shadow on her stomach or is there some sort of shirt under there?

I heard Nelson is pretty strict on photography going on in their town? Did you pay their shooting fee or just guerrilla it?

Since Nelson is, apparently, how the property owners make their living, the ethical thing to do would be to play be their rules:

"Any photography on the grounds will require you and any models or other participants to sign a waiver and model release. In addition, there is a small charge to photograph in the area of only $20 for the first 2 hours and then $10 for each subsequent hour you are out there. The owners live on the property and this is how they earn an income so for this very minimal charge you will find tremendous value for what they provide. It’s worth every penny so please be sure to take care of them."
