This guy visits our back yard on a daily basis and I have lots of photo's with him in a straight stance but something about this one I really loved and he doesn't pose this way but once. It looks as though he is getting ready to take off but I actually caught him preening himself.
Question is about the blur to the head.
The photo was 100 ISO, 200 mm lens, 1/320 at f5
He jerked his head real quick so is this movement blur or DOF problem. Do you think it can actually be sharpened? I use Adobe Photo Elements but too much sharpening ruins the picture as I have already applied as much as I dare.
Also, is this a Broad Winged Hawk? It looks a bit different than the other Hawk that frequents our back yard.
BTW, I have yet to see him catch another bird so I don't mind him being there all that much but the place sure does clear out when he shows up. My wife thinks he just wants to be like the rest of the birds and hang out but I tell her he only has one reason that I can think of to land in our back yard for.
Interesting enough I am also working on getting a better picture of the white cardinal. I'll attach that also but I really want a close up of that guy and hopefully he will stay clear of the Hawk.
