I posted 3 pictures up in a thread in Small Flash and Studio Lighting, but I feel like I would get much better critiques here on the People sub-section.

I did my first "studio" session with my friend Chris. The "studio" is a white wall in my house and my couch in my living room.

Any C&C from composition to lighting to post processing would be greatly appreciated!

I used my 40D and switched between a Tamron 17-50 and a 70-200 F4 IS. Most (if not all shots) are on f/8, 1/200, ISO 100.

* Calumet Genesis 400 with a Photek Softlighter II about 8 feet up, right behind me, pointed diagonally down as the main light.
* 430 EX with a shoot through umbrella on the floor right in front of me, aiming up for fill light.

^^ The white band on top was probably a layer shift when I was doing PP in Photoshop. Oops.

Thanks everyone. Yea I agree smoking is bad. My friend Chris just did it for this shoot since it was his idea. I modeled the lighting setup from some of the members posting on the "Multiple strobes" thread and hoped I got it right.

Do you think the skin or any post processing is overdone?

I was not going to mention it because I did not think that it was "overdone"....but I look back, because you made me....;), and think that you could back it off some. He appears to have quite a clear complexion as it is.
