It's not very often that I get to shoot football in the sun. Good light makes all the difference in the world.

Here's a few samples from the Texas 4A Region 2 Bi-District playoff game between Hutto and Poteet. Any suggestions for improvement would be appreciated.

Excellent!! Using the 400 on these? I can not offer advice, only jealousy! I will be taking my 70-200 to shoot the Alabama High School finals tomorrow.

Thanks for all the comments!

Yes, I was using the 400mm. Shoot tight and crop tighter is my moto. This Saturday, the last remaining football team in the playoffs for this area is playing in Waco. It's a 7:00 PM game under the stadium lights, however. :( They certainly won't be quality of these with natural light, however.

If they (Stony Point) can win the next two playoff games, they will play for the 5A state championship in Cowboy stadium! How cool would it be to shoot there!?!?!

Great shoots. Don't you wish the sun had gone a little farther down so you didn't get the shadows in the helmet. But that last one you nailed. Awesome shot.

It's hard to beat the big bulb in the sky! Shots look good!

Do you ever shoot any RR Express games?
