Who are people that you think you would enjoy shooting, if you were given the opportunity?

I've been fascinated by Tilda Swinton. I think she's an amazing model. There are so many images of her, that I can't get enough of.
I can't think of anyone who fascinates me as much as her. Her different looks seem endless.

I'd love to shoot her.

What about you?

Right now this instant it would be Pete Souza and President Obama. I would love to just observe how they interact :)

I've learned that one of the easiest ways to access celebrities is when they have a book tour. Some of the stops see thousands of people in lines, but others will be a handful or maybe just a hundred or so.

Sometimes they are snooty about photos, and other times friendly about it. They never mind point and shoots, but they can get funny about dslrs.

I hear about Karl Rove being at Books-a-Million one day and--even though I didn't have a strong interest in him politically--I did see an opportunity, so I went in. Nobody was there and I was able to take a couple photos. He refused, however, to have anything to do with any kind of posing. I asked him to give me a "look over your glasses serious look" and he said, "I won't mug for the camera. It'll end up on some funny website that mocks me."

So, I just took some snapshots, essentially.

Book tours are usually pretty good. You can also research to find out what they are interested in and show up to those events. For example, if a celebrity likes rodeos, hit the local rodeo. Okay, bad example, but you get the idea.

Thank you. bw!

I keep intending to get Jimmy Carter. He teaches Sunday school about 1.5 hours from my house, and is currently the most accessible president. He stays for photos after church. The church even has a hotline detailing when he'll be there to teach Sunday school.

Thank you. bw!

After reading some of the earlier names mentioned, I wonder if some people meant they wanted to actually shoot someone rather than take their photograph.
