Ok, so this is the second time today I've got this strange thing happening.

I'm using the pen tool to isolate an object, I did all my points and connected them all. Now when I'm ready to turn the points into a selection, I get this strange square box appearing. I don't know why or where it's coming from.

I've attached photo's to show what I'm talking about. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't understand what's happening - I agree that it seems like a glitch. I assume you've tried restarting? What about resetting PS preferences?

I just wanted to chime in to encourage you to use the Pen Tool to create curves, rather than hundreds of small straight lines. That's where the power of the Pen Tool lies. Instead of just click-click-click... get into click-and-drag-click-and-drag-click-and-drag...
