It's a Model A Ford, most likely a 30 or 31. The cowl steps out wider on the 28 & 29 than what I think I'm seeing in your photo.

I have to disagree, it's a '28-'29.
Among other differences, it has the smaller hub caps of the early 21" wheels and the recurve at the end of the front bumper, later bumpers were straight there.

I'm not really qualified to comment on others' photos; mine are awful under similar light. That is a tough subject with the reflections from the curved surfaces and the chrome plating.

TTk - couldn't be avoided. Like Sockrotter says, lots of reflections going on here. At least it is natural and doesn't blow out the scene/car.
Thanks for comment Terry.

I would have thought that the lens hood would have stopped it, or putting your hand over the lens to shade it, the sun seems well out of shot. Did you have a filter on the lens, as that could have been the problem.

I wouldn't normally expect flare in a shot like that.

sandpiper - not sure about the sun causing this plus I will shade shots with my hand if I think the sun rays are entering the lens. I assumed it was the reflections as stated above.
FWIW here is a different angle and the flare is still there. You can also tell better the position/angle of the sun from the shadow.

There's a lot of light bouncing off the shed's roof, and it's at a much lower angle than the sun. I prefer the first photo; the shiny chrome at the radiator cap directs my attention away from the flare. (I was so distracted earlier that I hadn't even seen the flare! )

The flare seems in the wrong place to be caused by the reflection from the radiator surround, and that is the only spot bright enough to cause flare I would think, besides in the second shot it is much weaker but the flare is still present.

I shoot a lot of car shows and don't have issues with flare off brightspots in the chrome. I have only really seen it, in shots like that, when caused by the sun and mostly with a filter on the lens, when the sun is not actually in the shot.

I wasn't there though, so I am only going by the image. You have a better idea of the conditions when you took the shot.
