More shots of my wife. I took these on Sunday.

Nice to have a live-in model.. :) I really like the softness in #2... something about it just really works for me. :)

Oh and I like the cropped version of the motorcycle shot.. just need a little more light in her eye sockets, they seem dark to me.....

Are these using natural light...? Reflector..? or strobe on location?

They are natural light, no reflectors/strobes/modifiers were used. Her makeup that was applied was very dark around the eyes and we shot these on Sunday which was very cloudy out so the eyes do seem a little darker then normal.

Ya I've got several tight shots of the motorcycle from a front view, I really liked seeing chase field in the background for that shot, I wasn't sure how I liked the tight shot or not. But ya the cropped edit looks great in that popped bw edit.

OK, so how do you make it so the reflection in the eyes doesn't show the photographer?

Great shots everyone!
I actually used my camera again this past weekend. Had to dust it off and learn what the buttons mean again but I will post some shots when I get organized.

Nice pictures. If the reflection is an issue for the eyes, im not sure how others do it but what i do is after i take the picture, i turn around and take another photo then photoshop it into the eyes.

Thanks Frank.
What's wrong with #1? Background too distracting?

That sounds like way, way more work post processing than I would want to do. I would rather do as little post processing as possible to keep the image looking more natural (and so I don't mess it up with bad post processing skills)

Nothing really wrong in #1... I think the others draw more attention
Due to the lighting...

Wouldn't worry about you being in the eyes...nice sharp images! :)

I told them to get the T2i instead, it's $150 cheaper now that the T3i is out. Basically the same camera but only does 720p vs 1080p video and a few other slight minimal differences.

i loved my T2i, it's a sweet camera...takes great images.

That being said, I'm ordering my S95 tomorrow through the CLP.

Thats understandable. Most of my images have little to no post processing other then lightroom then export to flickr.

But mainly if you did want to do it you would take the background photo, go to filters, distort, spherize and make it to your liking then ctrl+t to size it to the eye and clean off all the access stuff thats not needed. Could mess with it a little more if wanted but thats just an easy way for me to do the eyes if they were a bother.

I like 2 & 3 the best too. :) #1 is nice, but she has too many shadows on her body and neck that take away from the feel of the shot.

Why worry about the reflection in her eyes... I'm guessing you are teasing... but IMO that makes the shot GREAT! I take it as a sign of sharpness and good light in the eyes. :)
