Unfortunately I was not able to get home this weekend. I was hoping to get out to the ostrich festival in Chandler . . .

Thanks Kenny, don't worry about the Ostrich Festival, I will attend for you (and did Sun. afternoon).

Love the "Terminator" shot.

I have been busy, Thurs. a high school baseball game (trying to get some nice shots for these kids up on the MaxPreps site).

It's sooooo low pressure shooting this stuff, and the coach seems to like having me there getting shots for the kids.

20% off Portrait Professional right now. I know the pro fashion photogs can do better, but this program is seriously easy to use and produces great results very quickly. Far, far faster and better results than manual brushing in Photoshop. And its very affordable.

A lot of their demo photos are overdone, in my opinion, but the results are really easy to tune to your preferences, so you can have a more natural look if you prefer that.

I took this picture of my daughter with my S90. Her eyes were bloodshot from allergies and the low sun made her eyes look green, instead of the actual blue. Just a few minutes in Portrait Professional and her eyes look like they should without looking overdone (IMO, feel free to disagree) and I applied just a hint of skin smoothing, even though she really doesn't need it.

Stumbled across this while searching into Canyon X tours - New regulation for 2011

As per Overland Tours:
Any person who is taking photos in Antelope Canyon, Canyon X, Cardiac Canyon, Secret Canyon, The Fins at Waterholes Canyon or any where else on the Navajo reservation and plans on selling his or her images in either print or book format is required to obtain a commercial permit from the Navajo Nation Film Commission. The permit application can be found at www.navajonationparks.org (external link) or call 928.871.6647 for any further question.
Please make sure to apply for your photographic permit at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled tour to ensure you will receive your permit prior to your tour or vacation.

Overland Canyon Tours reserves the right to refuse or to cancel a photographic tour if the required permit is not on hand.

Their definition of "commercial" is off the mark but hey, it's their sandbox so...

Love the doggie with shades on Jon.... and your wife is so naturally beautiful. Love her smile. :)

Congrats on the new "climbing toy" Ruckus... :) Looks like a fun time out.

Cool shots of the Green River Kenny.. My niece and nephew live in Chicago, and the river has become the common backdrop of their crazy St. Paddy's day bar crawl photos...

Doug, you sports shots always look so nice.. great job on them. :)

Cute ducks Frank.. :) Looks like you had a nice, relaxing afternoon... fun. Where's the macro? lol.. Wildflower outing soon?

So they are packed up and ready to go to some place that would enjoy the reading.. If you want them, they are yours.. let me know soon.. I want to get the box outta here.. lol. :)

HAPPY MONDAY!

Cool shots all!

Senior grad (college)... mom wanted something nice to send out in the invitations. We shot in a studio setting and outdoors...thought this was an nice shot.

Canon 85L MK2 for 99% of the shoot... really enjoying this lens! But... this one was shot with the 135L... it fooled me... thought it was the 85L. GOOD TIMES!

Wow lucky hahah. That is AWESOME!!!

I recently found out that you must have pants if you go on track as spectator/media. i never knew that. Drove to California to shoot an event and they didnt let me on track because i dont wear pants.... stupid. When i use to drift i had pants. Whatever, just means i have to go buy a pair now.

Signing up for Formula D. I know they are more strict as trying to join as a driver was horrible. Now they made it where if you are trying for a media pass you have to be in a company or shoot for something like a website or a newpaper etc.

Stupid but what ever they want. Anyone know a company or something so i can fill it out and get my pass?
Their requests are...
Company/Media Title:
Company Website:
Company Address:
and Media Type Outlet.....

Canon 7D Mk2, Sony A7iii, Canon 85mm f1.8, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS mk1, Sigma 17-55mm f2.8, Tamron 28-75iii, a few flashes and many modifiers

Get a publication to back you... Media Credentials are for, well, Media.

All of motorsports have been tightening the requirements lately. If you think some one-off series like drifting is bad, try NASCAR or Indy Car some time. And Formula 1? Well, first you have to prove you carry something like $5 Million in insurance before they'll even consider you.
