My LOGO.
Hate it or love it?

IMAGE: http://i56.tinypic.com/r271xc.png

Key points:
Designed to look like a picture frame.
I'm a photographer in TO (Toronto) hence the FO TO aka FOTO.
Plus my alias is Daniel FOTOgrafie.

I hardly use my logo anymore, and while I love it... I'm just growing tired of branding my images with the logo as opposed to a link to my website (what better branding than a call-to-action?)

What's with all the logos lately, popping up everywhere in the last week for critiques.

Not a huge fan, very boring honestly and not an eye catcher.

There's a company named FOTO out there already and you're using very similar font that they use, you may be causing confusion (i.e. they can sue you for doing that). With that alone I'd ditch it.

It doe not speak to me.. I do not think it would speak for you either.

If you have to explain the design to us then would you have to explain it to your clients too? A good logo need no explanation. IMO

Don't like it.

Looks like a generic symbol, and not that of a specific brand.

It reminds me of the international symbol for "Diver Down".

Put me in the love it pile. Nice, simple, catchy. Dispite it's stark b vs w contrast, it is not pigeonholed into "modern", "trendy" or some such artificial category. Just classic clean . . .

Not in love with the graphic, but more importantly do you think you are the only photographer using foto. I've seen in on at least 2 license plates here in town this week. Make it yours and yours alone by adding something to it.

show us more than a logo. if you built a brand around this idea, it might work. you just need to brand yourself right.

Thanks guys! You all bluntly confirmed the main reason I was starting to stray away from using it in my images as a watermark.

Cheers for your honesty.

I instead chose the text in the following image to represent my brand, which is light years better than the logo. In fact, it's rather nice.
