I'm thinking of getting a Pelican case for storage at home, and possible short distance transport (by car).

Would it be wisest to go with one big case to store all my gear (lenses, gripped 7D, 2 or 3 speedlites), or a couple / three smaller cases (body and lenses / speedlites and accessories)?

Also, which models would be best? It's kind of hard to tell from online pictures!

7D (gripped) | GoPro Hero HD | Canon 70-200mm f/4 L | Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 | 40mm f/2.8 | 85mm f/1.8 | 28mm f/1.8 | 3 * 600EX-RT - All gear

One large case to hold several cameras and lenses
will be way to heavy. I have seven cases all of
them are 1550. Even then a couple of them are
very heavy.

+1 ^ I agree. Better to have several cases that are easy to tote around rather than one big one that's so heavy you can't take it anywhere. I use cases of different sizes. They're just large enough for whatever I need to put in there. The biggest case I have is the 1610 and the smallest is the 1450.

Going by what's in your signature you can probably fit everything into a single 1510 (with exception of the monoblocks).

In mine I have a gripped 50D w/ 70-200L 2.8 IS mounted; 24-70L; 10-20 Sigma; 50 1.4; 2.0x Teleconverter; 580EXII, and a decent amount of room to spare where I keep misc cables/batteries/chargers/memory cards/PW's

All with the added benefit of being able to be used as an airplane carry-on if need be.

quick cell phone photo for reference. The 2.0TC isn't in there but there's plenty of room for another body sans lens or 2/3 more speedlights.

That looks perfect ... I'm not interested in lugging the monoblocks everywhere, and the lightstands can just go in a soft bag.

Thanks everyone! I'll add something to my wishlist for Christmas :)
