Posted this to first the B+W/experimental section--no response--then to the Urban section--again, no response. I'm posting to this section to verify that the image is visible. :D

I think the subject matter is decent, just don't like the framing, myself. It seems to removed and voyeuristic to me.

edit: just to make clear--I understand that you mean that these are qualities that work against the image rather than for it.

This definitely tells a story...not just your typical - "Oh look a homeless person" shot.

A sad fact in this day and age. Last time I was in Toronto I saw quite a few homeless with the thinnest of blankets trying to survive a 18 degree night that would only get colder. I could only cry inside at this sight and offer a few bucks.

The image has impact but I don't like that I have to look through the window frame or whatever it is that blocks some of the image. Not a big deal because the message is pretty powerful.

adjusted levels, curves, ran it thru topaz adjust (external link) to up the contrast, then i finished off with some burn/dodge.
