I spent the morning outside in the cold looking for birds to photograph in the wonderful Upstate New York area.
Towards the end of the morning I happened upon this little bird perched upon a branch. I quickly snapped a few images and headed contently home to try and identify it using my two latest aquisitions. The first being "An Audubon Handbook - Eastern Birds" and the second being the "Stokes Feild Guide to Birds - Eastern Region" both very informative I might add.

After staring at the Cooper Hawk, Sharp-Shinned and my own image, I have come to the conclusion that the bird I have managed to photograph was a drum roll please
...............Sharp-Shinned.

If it isn't, just happily smirk to yourself and let me live in my happy little content world believing this to be a "Sharpie"

Sounds good to me, lol. I see so much arguing back and forth here that I think you could say either one and be safe. :)
