Wireless Dot Line (shutter) release for 50D

I have done a search and the Plato and Vivitar both show up as being used on the 50D. I have an (eBay) Plato that is about 90 days old and has died (with only being test fired a couple of times when it arrived). Needless to say, I am not planning on getting another Plato. The Vivitar might work fine, but B&H also has Dot Line wireless remotes. Has anyone had any success or failure with the Dot Line?
