Renting my first L for NYC day trip...Which one?

Taking a day trip to NYC... will be there from 9am to 6pm... I have a Cannon EOS Rebel T1i and a nifty 50, EFS 55-250, and 18-55....want to rent my first L lens for the trip.... will be taking outside photos all day of NYC streets, Time Square, Ice skating at Rockefeller Center... recommendations ???? thanks.....

Agreed. I have the 16-35, 24-70 and the 24-105. Although I use the 24-105 the most given its IS, lighter weight and smaller bulk. Although for NYC, you might look at a 16-35 as well.

You can't have just one though.

honestly i don't think 24 is wide enough for Nyc
