On a full frame camera, what 2 lenses would be your ideal setup? Yes, pick only 2 and go ahead and have fun with it. Extenders are okay, retired lenses like the 50 1.0L are okay, too.

Here is what I'd go with:

35mm f1.4L
85mm f1.2L II

My 2nd choice would be:

35mm f1.4L
70-200mm f2.8 IS II
and 1.4x III and 2.0x III extenders (even though they're not out yet).

R6 II | EF 35 f1.4L | RF 50 f1.8 | EF 85 f1.4L IS | EF 16-35 f4L IS | RF 24-70 f2.8L IS | EF 70-200 f2.8L IS II | 600EX RT | Gear List | Semper Fi

By the way, I just bought a 35L. I'm probably going to be selling my 50mm 1.4 soon. I rented the 35L over Thanksgiving weekend and I really liked it.

Definitely the 85L and probably the 24-70. Not loving the 35L for some reason.

Brick and the 100-400mm on FF, 17-55mm and 70-200mm f/2.8L II on crop. I'd rather have the crop setup with only two lenses.

It'll seem odd to many, but 24-105/4L and 100L.

+1

70-200 for all my normal shooting and 16-35 for all my wide shooting. (I don't have a 16-35, but I imagine it is like a 17-40 but faster :p)

Canon 24 TSE f3.5 II
Zeiss 50 f2 Makro Planar ZE

Canon 6D, 1DmkII, IR modified 5DII with lots of Canon L, TSE and Zeiss ZE lenses

As for me, it really all depends on what i am shooting.
If general walk around + wedding: 24L + 50L
If portraiture work: 35L + 85L II
If I'm traveling: 24L + 35L
For street stuff: 24L + 135L

What other instances are there?
