I'm very, very, very new to people photography, so please do tell me what I need to work on. These shots are of my sis in law modeling her own costumes she makes, as she can't afford a model to do that for her right now. She is pleased with my work, but I would like to get better. She posts them on her facebook, both her own personal page and the account she made for her costume store she uses to advertise her services. The shoots I do for her are free, btw. This isn't the first shoot I've done of her, but this is only about the 3rd or 4th.

Enough babbling. Time for the shots:

Here's a few, but I'm not sure how many I can post in one thread. I'll probably post a couple more as a reply later on.

Most of the fun about Cosplay are the costumes. You can't see the costume in these. BTW...you can post up to 8.

Canon 5D MkII gripped, Canon 7D gripped, Canon 40D gripped, Canon XTI (IR) gripped, Canon 17-55 2.8 IS, Canon 60 Macro 2.8, Canon 70-200L 2.8 IS , Canon 24-105 4.0, Tokina 11-16 2.8, Canon 50mm 1.8, Sekonic L-358, Canon Speedlite 580-EX II, (2)430-EX, Pocket Wizards, lots of other stuff that seems to keep growing...

I'll post a few more in the original post then and include a full body shot. Thanks for letting me know!

+1. Better cropping would go a long way with these.

Most of these aren't crops. That just shows my inexperience even more. lol I suck at framing people, but I'll get better. I'll try harder to showcase the costume next time.
