space per performance too....

I already have a file server with 2x 2TB drives that I store everything to. Set up in RAID 1 for redundancy.

I already have a 64GB SSD on my laptop anyways, and I've Windows 7, PS CS5, LR3, Office 2010, Chrome, and the usual IM/music/video programs on 30GBs.

Er, on an ordinary hard drive! My SSD has the OS, apps and the photos I'm currently working on. Once they've been processed they can get moved to a larger, slower drive - along with all the other stuff that can be accessed slowly.

well then that makes sense for you guys... ssd for your OS.. as long as you have somewhere to put the files.....
