It's that time of the year again - my 2nd annual Christmas Card

Last year's card is here

C&C as usual, please be honest & nitpick :)

I was going for an 'old school' cheesy feel & wanted an edit to match (not so sharp, grainy, off color) but I struggled with the edit & went simple and clean.

#1 (Simple and Clean)

1st is the "best".....2nd is GREEN, cheesy and FUN!
If you had enough material in the BG for the floor, this would be a great Christmas card...corny or not. :)

#1 is better... maybe add some vignetting. This is hilarious, by the way

Ha!! Sooo silly!
The second edit definitely looks older - more dated - which works really well with the dorky theme.
The first one almost looks commercial - a full background (floor included) of that wrapping paper minus the paper glare and it would be greeting card perfection.

Awesome stuff! Thanks for sharing!

I had plenty of paper, next time I'll have to consider that. Wrapping paper is soo fragile it would get ripped up in a hurry.

I added vingette in #1, tried to be subtle - I heard less is more but I guess too little is none ;) I actually forgot to add it to #2, that would probably help, it makes the glare on the background less distracting.

Thanks. I need to figure out a way to reduce the glare when shooting and in post.

My girlfriend says she looks green and sick. I'm going to try to work on the colors some more and bring her back to life.

Ahhh, dodge and burn.. I had looked around trying to figure out how to fix it. Thanks, I'm working on that right. I'm going to try to get away with just using lightroom, but I do have CS3.

Any more tips on removing/reducing the glare?

Thanks again everyone, I appreciate all of your feedback!!

Here is my best effort at removing the glare. Used the clone stamp tool.

EDIT: I missed / messed up a bunch of spots. I am reworking the edit. Any tips for the reflection behind her hair? Im stuggling here :)

The first one is the best of the two. On my monitor it is a bit to red.

Your edit is very green. Maybe I need to recalibrate, its been awhile. Specifically look at the guys(my) forehead.

I could see my 1st one being considered just a tiny tiny bit too red.

Thanks

Dang, I guess that tells me something about my fashion sense.. I don't think it's cheesy at all.. LOL!
Like the first shot though, the second shot's color looks off and it might just be my monitor, but it looks a bit too bright too.
