I currently own a few Radiopopper JrX Basic units and recently had a chance to use some Calumet/Bowens Travelite 750 strobes. Unfortunately the Radiopoppers wouldn't trigger the strobes; I've contacted RP and their suggestion was to change cables.

This seems to be a fairly common problem based on what I've found online and no one seems to have a solution (something to do with polarity). See here for one discussion: http://www.flickr.com …iscuss/72157622613785728/ (external link)

or here: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/823728/0 (external link)

or here: https://photography-on-the.net …hp?p=9051240&postcount=22

So now I'm looking at Cybersyncs...does the CSRB trigger Travelite strobes?

Thanks.

Any trigger should be able to work as long as you have proper cable.

They should work.
There have been some discussions about polarity problems with certain trigger / light combinations.
Mine have always worked.

You might want to invest a couple dollars in a cable for the JrX that you can cut and reverse polarity just to see what happens.

Unfortunately its not as simple as that....if you read any of the links I posted you'd see its much more involved.

I'll contact FlashZebra and see what they have but from what I've read around the 'net others have tried reversing polarity and it still didn't work. Perhaps I should just get some PocketWizard Plus II's and be done with it.

Just an update in the event anyone else is looking for a solution:

I've been corresponding with both FlashZebra (Lon) and Kenyee and they have come up with workable solutions.

1. FlashZebra confirms that changing the sync cable works. He tested aFZ #0020 cord (external link) and it enables the Radiopopper to fire the Travelite strobe.

2. The second suggestion from Kenyee was to add a Wein Monoplug Safe-Sync (external link). This is a more expensive solution but I'm assured that it works.
