Alright KatoDog!

I followed your tutorial and it gave me all the fundamentals I needed to get started playing with this next step in smoke photography. Thank you this is a fun technique, and I like the results out of the gates....

Looks good to me...and trust me, "spend hours" is just the beginning, wait until winter hits and it's all you'll do for three or four months.

Thanks so much Katodog for the tutorial! Here's the result of my "proof of concept" shot where I verified that I could reproduce a similar shot. I've got some gels now so I will be trying them out this weekend - wish me luck!
