How is this one compared to the PIXMA Pro900 II? I looked at some previous threads but no clear answer.

I dont know. I do not have Pixma printer to compare. But I was looking into buying Pixma 9500 MKII or epson R1900. This is like comparing between Canon and Nikon camera (dead debate). From what i read, Both are good printers but Canon do come out abit ahead (very little diff). Canon 9000 uses ink dye vs r1900 pigment. Canon 9000 print 2400dpi and R1900 1440dpi. Color gumet is wider with Dye ink but Pigment last longer and brighter (I Dont see the difference, when I compare prints with epson 2200 Dye and R1900 pigment).
I buy the epson R1900 because I can use CIS, Print CD and I have other epson printers.
And when I see the price of the R1900 @183.00? That made up my mine. Ink alone cose over 100.00 for the set, so to think of it? the printer is only 83.00.
