So for a while I took a brief hiatus away from "trying" at photography just to relax for a few weeks and take some time to rethink my work. When I found out I would be driving the new Mazda 2 for a review in Super Street I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to take the lights back out and do a proper photoshoot. Unfortunately fate had a different idea and when I arrived at the location and setup I discovered that my power source for my strobes had failed and I would have to shoot the car with natural light. So I tried not to focus on the negatives and just the get best shots I could with the light I had available to me, the results in retrospect aren't too bad...

Nice as always.
As stated by everyone, your stuff is always inspiring. I'm glad to see an absence of lights this time around.

Natural light, every time for me.

Wonderful shots.

I reckon they came out pretty nice mate. Coming from a landscape background, it's always fun to work without lights, but unfortunately clients generally have better things to do during golden hour haha.

The only thing catching me on these shots is the distortion is a little 'panel-bending', if you know what I mean - but that's just wide lenses for you I guess.

Always a pleasure seeing your images.

Nice shots. I looked at the II before buying the car I ended up with. Getting guitar gear into a vehicle for gigs is essential and the Mazda II was a bit short on cargo space. My wife drives a 3 and loves it. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another Mazda.

I really liked how you used the sun on first shot. Nice picture!
