can't compete with ARCA-SWISS, RRS, Markins, PhotoClam, etc. period.

I own a Kangrinpoche NB2, it's a killer ballhead for the price. And it'll hold its own up there with all those you mentioned. I use mine extensively for product and food photography and it has never dissapointed me.

That price on ebay is way overpriced!

Try one and you'll be convinced.

I am not against any copycats from China (I can't actually). I owned Markins M20, PhotoClam PC-33NS, PC-44NS, AS B1, tried RRS BH-55, AS Z1 in the past. Currently, I have new version Markins Q10 and Q3T. I dare to say that brand can't compete with these (even I never tried one) in terms of quality, operation, warranty, accessories compatibility and especially history.

BTW, Benro tripod hold it's own up there too. I won't try.

playin devils advocate, but how can you say that if you havent tried it yet?? didnt people deride markins initially as simply a korean knock off of arca swiss?? years later, photoclam comes out and people claim its just a cheap knockoff of markins. as for feisol, i remember how they were viewed as a cheap gitzo knockoff, and people wouldnt buy feisol because it will be inferior taiwanese products. turn the clock to today, and markins, photoclam and feisol are recognized as being quality manufacturers.

i woudlnt simply say that the kangrinpoche ballhead isnt high quality without trying it first. markins, photoclam and feisol suprised us in the past. so why cant this ballhead do the same??

though i will say that at that asking price, it had better be the BEST ballhead in the world, cuz for that price you can get some very high quality and PROVEN ballheads.

Doesn't seem interesting at all to me--why wouldn't one get a markins or RRS one for that price??? That one seems to have zero innovation or advantages, and costs just as much--I see zero point? It *MIGHT* be a pricing mistake (decent chance). Holding huge stuff isn't that impressive really, look at the weight ratings on some of the Markins stuff ;). Here's an actual innovative chinese-made ballhead...sigh, I really wish I had enough $ to become U.S. distributor for some of this stuff :):
