Carnaby's Black-Cockatoo

We had flock of these wonderful birds fly over this afternoon, and a few of them landed in a tree just the other side of our garden wall.

I managed to get a few shots before they flew onto the next area. As you can see in my sig I only have the kit lenses at the moment, so they may not be the sharpest pics :o All C&C welcome though :)

Great shots. Love cockatoos. This is the first time I've seen the black ones.


My Gear: 6D, 7D, EOS-M w EF-M 22 f2 STM and EF-M 18-55 f3.5-5.6 IS STM, 17-40L f4, 24-70L f2.8, 100 f2.8 non-IS macro, 70-200L f/4 IS, 400L f5.6,, Canon 1.4x II TC, Canon Speedlite 430 EX II, Better Beamer. They are only found in the south west corner of Western Australia, and unfortunately are endangered and listed as "fauna that is rare or is likely to become extinct" :(
