. . . to post photos on this web site (POTN)? I currently use photobucket but since I started using L3 and Elements 8 in tandem to do my post processing the pictures look awful! Any suggestions? I'm not a computer person so explain like you would to a 5 year old.
Thanks

If I have a file which is too big to upload as an attachment (>150k), I use my own web hosting account. $67 per year, unlimited storage.

I've never used Photobucket -- my image host has been PBase. Could you maybe "show" us an example be posting both a link to a Photobucket image and also directly posting it from Photobucket to here? And, try also uploading it to here from your computer so we could compare?

I know Photobucket has been used a lot for places like MySpace and Facebook but those sites are not known for great image presentation...

100% of my posted photos are uploaded to my own web-site (wyomerc.com) - that domain is hosted by www.qwknetllc.com (external link).

Lots of advantages to having your own domain name(s) - usually no 'silly rules' regarding image hosting - no need to change EMail addresses (hosting can move, but EMail stays the same) ... many more too numerous to mention here/now.

The beginner clicks the shutter and says "Let's see what I got." ... The experienced photographer thinks "How can I capture what I see?"

I use PB with no problems. It works fine if you set it up right. PB sizing problem discussed in this thread:

Thanks to everyone for input. I didn't even realize smugmug could do that and I've had an account for quite some time. My wife doesn't call me dumba$$ for nothing!
