video freezing browser

This is hardly camera related other than the fact that I watch tutorials for photoshop on youtube so I hope you all with bear with me.

I have an intermittent problem with my laptop running Windows 7. I always use my laptop wireless and when I open on line videos there is no problem. But without any pattern that I have noticed, my youtube videos will freeze and the browser will lock up. Rebooting doesn't change this condition. This may go on for a few days, and then mysteriously, videos will begin playing properly again.

Any ideas on what to try to fix this?

Does it happen with more than one browser? Is it only youtube or does it happen on other sites as well (vimeo, metacafe, etc)

When it happens, as it is right now, it freezes when I try vimeo, youtube, lynda.com or any other video and it happens when I use IE8 or Firefox 3.6.12

Uninstall Flash, CClean registry, reboot, reinstall Flash and cross fingers...
