I have an SD card for my phone and a CF card for my camera. I also have a built in card reader on my computer tower, perfect setup, right? Not so much. If the computer is just restarted the card readers work fine, but after a while they stop working. I open 'my computer' and the 'F' drive says there is nothing there, insert card or disk. I have my computer on all the time. Could this be a problem with it going into sleep mode? I did a google search of the problem and it seems everyone else has the same problem I do, but no one knows how to fix it. I don't want to have to restart my computer every time I want to put pix or music on one of my cards.

I'd try reinstalling the drivers for that device and see if it makes any difference.
