I never knew that the paint schemes changed that often in NASCAR. It makes sense that the pit guys love pictures and the big wrecks since those are the images you see most in NASCAR. At least to me who doesnt follow the sport.

My favorite shoots were the weekends that I shot for a corporate sponsor. Lots of companies paid big bucks to have shots done of their clients at the track. A certain cell phone company and a well known garbage company gave me lots of business.

How about the stands?

You don't see very many in the stands. The cost of attending a race weeds out most of that crowd....they sit home or at the local bar and watch.

Sounds like a very good time! So if you shot for example Mars M&M's would the company give you complimentary M&M's sent to your home? Just wondering.

I'd rather be an insomniac than a narcoleptic, personally!

It's weird, normally the ambien will knock me right out when I need that extra push, but this whole week nothing at all. I finally passed out just due to sheer exhaustion, body gave up on me. :(

I think my wife would rather be an insomniac too!!!

In 2006, most any image of this guy would sell.

So I just talked to my insurance agent about removing a vehicle from coverage. It just sits in the garage and the tag is expired so I thought I would just save some money. It costs me about $400/year to insure the vehicle, but after dropping it I will only save about $150/year due to discounts and such. Why bother?

No gifts like that....they do hand out a variety of samples to people in their hospitality areas....and they all feed you very well.

NASCAR has really hurt itself over the past 5 years....Their stupid "Chase" and artificial champion have given them a huge black eye in the view of many fans. Couple that with the absurd prices in a troubled economy....not a pretty picture. It was sad watching some of the races last year and seeing thousands of seats empty that 5 years ago had a 20 year waiting list.

I stopped watching several years ago. Too boring now.

I love racing....but NASCAR has gone from racing to being WWE with cars.

I love motor racing. But mainly pinnacles of motor racing, from an engineering point of view. Bog standard simple racing like NASCAR (to many it isn't but compared to other series & rules, it is), doesn't do anything for me.
