Nope....that it isn't....but it is very hard to make a good sandwich when you don't have good bread or rolls to start with.

Most decent sandwich shops here make their own bread. It's wonderful to walk in in the morning and smell the bread baking. :) Even the fast food sandwich shots like Subway or Jimmy John's make their own bread. It's one of the things that separate the sandwich shops from each other.

Seems like a Dual-Core Iphone 5 will be coming in June:

Or you can pick up a dual core Atrix now and a Zoom at 1/2 the cost next month. :)

Sam's Club and Walmart have recently added some decent breads and rolls to their offerings. Most of the local bakeries here are operated by granola crunchers....I want bread, I don't want something made with materials I would use to seed my lawn or breads that could double as building materials. hehehe

Oh you can say that again!!

Morning all,

Have a look at this cool use of technology, before and after photos of the flooding with a neat sliding bar to show the difference. Half was down you can see Southbank.

Greg that a pretty cool use of technology during an unfortunate event! It seems as if a boat was in the staidum after the flooding?

Probably. Boats were the only transport for a few days.

Plus, it's a well known stadium so it could have been the media reporting it. I saw inside views on TV a lot.

Awesome site Greg. Now if the city planners had a few brain cells to spare, they could look at these pics, buy out the poor owners near the rivers under water and put in parks. Then the next time it floods, and there will be a next time, all that will happen is that the parks will be under water.

The Lord Mayor of Brisbane has been on TV saying we live on a flood plain, you have to expect floods, we can mitigate it somewhat but not totally. I agree with him. The fact that the river snakes all over the place makes it worse, lots more river frontage to go under.

I was chatting to Fire Brigade staff on Saturday morning. They were doing data capture duties for the Council. Street to street with hand held recorders and GPS.

I agree, it covered a large area. Remember the peak was about 1m less than originally predicted. Could have been a lot worse.

Hey all!

Speaking of flooding, I heard on the news that it's been flooding here in Washington and Oregon. Strange, because I haven't noticed a lot of rain here on the border between the two -- I don't get out enough. If I knew of a spot nearby I'd wanna go get some pics.

Our stadium here flooded the day before the Poinsettia Bowl game was to be played in it...

The game was played on schedule.

We're in the off season at the moment for the Rugby League and Rugby Union. Soccer do use it at this time of year and our local team is at the top of the ladder so home finals are on the cards. I guess the pressure will be on to clean it up.
