It's the I&M canal (external link). That part of the path is well groomed. As you get farther from the towns it gets a bit more rustic.

Heh! I was doing a fair amount of biking a number of years ago. These days, I turned 60 this year, I'm out of shape, and with the stuff you guys are talking about I imagine a long ride would turn out to be my last gasp:)!

I'm working up to it. The 36 miler was about at my limit and that was last year. I'm running a whole lot more this spring trying to build up some endurance but i got to loose a bunch of fat to really make a difference.
