I'm working up to it. The 36 miler was about at my limit and that was last year. I'm running a whole lot more this spring trying to build up some endurance but i got to loose a bunch of fat to really make a difference.

Working up to it is best thing to do. :)

I'll bike and you carry the gear. ;)

I rigged up a Lowpro so that I can hook it to the handlebars. It holds my 7D with the 100-400, the 5D with the 24-105 and I got the 17-40 tucked in there as well. Also have a small bike tool kit and a can of fix-a-flat. I use to backpack it but it's murder on the back. Much easier on the handlebars.

My bike is the blue one with the pack on the front.

That looks like a fun trail JJ. May need to incorporate that into my cross country tour. Also, I'm in for the RRTP meet and bike :-P

I'm surprised you're carrying that much camera gear, but that's great!

When I ride my motorcycle, I usually take the 7D with the 24-105 and the EFS 10-22.

When I looked at your cross country tour, you were taking it. Let me know when you are comming through. I will meet up with you and at least ride the 60 miles of the trail.

Heh! I was doing a fair amount of biking a number of years ago. These days, I turned 60 this year, I'm out of shape, and with the stuff you guys are talking about I imagine a long ride would turn out to be my last gasp:)!

ROFLL!!!
