Everything in there is old, old, old, the flags look like they are about to disintegrate etc. Nobody was allowed to take photos inside the Abbey though. A shame, as it looked so good. A few differing exposure photos would have really brought it out.... Why no photos inside? I wonder what the thinking behind that is. Maybe just ban flash photography. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Non-flash photography may not damage the artworks, etc., but the ban lets them pounce when you pull a camera out rather than leave them waiting to act until after you've fired the flash and thus done at least some minute amount of additional damage due to the UV levels of your flash.
