They suck, that's about all I remember. I miss snow, but, eh, I'll pass on the iced roads.

tonylong ...winded More info | Dec 26, 2010 21:38 | #1192 Yeah, a couple years ago we had a heavy snow here right before Christmas and my grandson had to go into a hospital in Portland. I had to both transport him and his grandsom through a lot of terrain to the hospital but I then had to fetch my daughter and drive all across the urban residention part of Portland. Three times I ended up sliding, spinning then stuck in snow drifts and needed strangers help to push and pull my car out -- made it through the day without doing any damage though. Tony

I haven't been keeping up on the weather the whole day. It's pretty bad when one of our main 4 lane roads was still white into late this afternoon.... The road I live on hasn't seen a plow at all.... and the snow started yesterday morning... Jenn, gone back to novice photographer...

Is it the new digital one? It's an uber fancy one... I think it's digital.... I do know it will run trunking and conventional scanning at the same time... I have a LOT to learn about it... Dad said it is quite complicated and he just quickly entered a few frequencies for me Christmas day! LOL So I am hoping while I'm off work to get some of it figured out and more of it programmed... When my dad says it's complicated... I know it's going to be a pretty steep learning curve for me... he's programmed his own personal scanners for years... LOL Jenn, gone back to novice photographer...

Depending on where you are, snow ranges from 8-18 inches....some of the higher elevations have in excess of 2 feet....throw in the high winds and you have a most unpleasant night.
