How can these images be improved?

I get what you were going for here, but I think the shed is too small in the frame to be the subject. I think the BW one is better, but maybe up the contrast or something to make it look a little creepier.

I like the black and white one better but i feel that it is much to overexposed in the middle of the frame

The B&W does look good but I agree, the shed is too small.

You also have a strip of blown out sunlight in front of the shed.

The range of the scene may just be too great for the camera sensor which means you may have to resort to HDR or some creative photo merging of several shots.

Nice capture but I would agree that the blown out patch is a little too large to be overlooked and looks too far gone to recover in raw.
