The lake where he usually fishes is still frozen over, hopefully it will remain like this for a at least a few more days.He`s still catching fish in the stream exiting the lake and it makes it alot easier to get a pic of him.

Great shot, only seen a kingfisher once while on my bike, by the time I had the camera out he had gone.

Lovely light on the bird and nice and sharp. Have you thought about running some NR on the bg?
I think that would sort the only nit on this shot.
