Hi,
is it possible to hook the G12 to a computer and do interval shooting?
I would like to use my G12 for time lapse photography.
Is there a timer/remote control for the G12 that supports interval shooting?
Thanks
Dirk

Mass knock-offs from Asia I am sure. Much cheaper than the Canon one. This is the least expensive I have found after shipping is included:

The G12 does not have Remote Capture like the G9 and previous models. Here's a link to a third party software that can be used with previous Canon Powershot models that did have Remote Capture.

The delay can be set up to 30 seconds and up to ten shots can be triggered. However, the "delay" is only the initial delay, thereafter the shots appear to be fired as quickly as the G12 will fire them. Gordon

The G9 lost the jack for the remote control. Yet, it had the interval feature built-in. I would have preferred to have the remote port. So this remote plugs directly into the G12? I don't see any Canon G series listed on the specs sheet. Plus you still have to use external software to put the time lapse together. 6D & G5X

That is almost 100% the same as the one I have for my 5D. 6D & G5X
