recover files from sd card

Ok so today I took my camera to work.. nice long train ride into center city pa...
took pics at work, took pics on the walk home.. some cool stuff..

well i got home and went to copy off the files....
i took a picture the other night of my camera stuff.. and used a point and shoot... i posted up all that stuff.. used my memory card from my canon...well it put a fuji folder on my card.. i just deleted it... then realized it started putting all my new pics into that fuji folder...

i just lost all my pics i took... how to get them back.. who used software that worked?

i took raw files too... i didnt see it listed as files to scan.. didnt see it where i could say cr2 files.....

any help appreciated

Just two days ago I used Stellar Pheonix Data Recovery (external link) on the SD card from my wife's point and shoot and got back everything plus pics that had been deleted months ago. There were about 7 pics that were damaged due to the card having been written to but that was inevitable.

I also have a friend who a few weeks ago recovered data from a 2TB drive that the MFT became corrupt and required formatting. He recovered the data before formatting and all was good.

You can't go wrong with this software.

which free app did you use? I'm always looking for good free things to recommend instead of paid apps if its appropriate.

I am going to try the free undelete from that site. I too deleted files by accident. Thanks!
EDIT. Free Undelete did not see .cr2 files

I love free stuff..... the ones i use are recuva and pc inspector file (or smart) recovery. a couple places to look for some free software are www.stevesfree99.com (external link) and www.majorgeeks.com (external link)


Black box thingy with lots of buttons and a round tube sticking out with some glass on the ends and it keeps making this "click" sound over and over and over and over and over.
