A3, 13x19 or 8.5x11. I'm a real stickler for sharp noise free prints. Don't want to give him any prints I'm not proud to put my name on. Plus, he requested pictures showing him in the P47 specifically, and thats the best I have. Two of those flying shots I tried to get to where I like them, but they were just too soft and OOF to achieve the goals I was printing for. Perhaps if I didn't have this XSi. Can Santa send me a 7D please?

True. My Sigma lens can be sharp, but in testing it front focuses a bit and I'd like to be able to micro adjust it. The XSi auto focus seems to not be able to keep up with moving aircraft hence I have a LOT more keepers when the plane is taxing around slowly or at the point in the pass that the distance from the subject to me stays fairly constant. IE, not coming towards me or away from me. Definately focuses faster on my friend's 7D I tried it on. Never got to actually use it though.

Tried to mess with this one to get it to print well, but it just never came out sharp enough.

It doesn't look bad to me. Did you try to make a 13x19 print? Selectively sharpening the parts that bother you might be the answer.
And if you still can't get the sharpness you expected in one big print, maybe a big print with several smaller shots composited on it would be the answer.
A few "posters" of bands from the last year.

Ok, took your advice and whipped up this three shot poster to be printed on 13x19. C&C very welcome on this. I'm not a graphic designer.

Also found two more good 'action' shots I ran through a session of photoshop.

Tail just starting to come up.

There was a company that was actually building NEW ME-262's a few years ago. All from the original designs. Not sure what happened to them. I've had the pleasure of helping in a restoration of an ME-109 about 12 years ago. The Germans really built some cool aircraft!

Awesome shots by the way. :)
