I'm looking into getting the Lexar Pro Card Reader, but I have heard that some people with SanDisk cards have had trouble with the card being read in some form or another. Has anyone ever heard of this or had it happen to them?
Thanks.

I don't know if the same features made their readers (which did support their proprietary extensions) rendered the readers useless with other companies' cards, but it wouldn't greatly surprise me. AFAIK, Lexar came to their senses and now use standard interfaces on all their cards and readers. Jon

I have both the USB dual slot reader that I carry with me and a FW800 CF reader (both from Lexar) and use primarily SanDisk cards (a mix of Ultra, Extreme and Extreme Pro's) - all work great.

It downloads my Sandisk Extreme 4, Transcend 300x and Transcend 400x CF cards at 28-32 mbps - also my faster SDHC cards at upto 20 mbps though usually nearer 12-16 mbps - perhaps it may be faster on a PC rather than my laptop? I find it great for my needs. Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).
